I wouldn’t look too much into this, sometimes guys need to retrieve to their man cave. Just dont text him too much, sometimes the chemistry dies a little bit. Act as neutral as possible and don’t take it personally. If he wants to see you he will make the effort, or if its been him asking often, maybe you should reach out and ask him to hang out.
