I literally can’t breathe with the amount of negativity from these men who come my way. One word dsyfuctional. I would like too meet someone normal and sane one day- positive would be good. I have decided not to look- just purposedly give up. Good thing I am not desperate or needy. What is the problem with these men and my love life. I have thrown the towel in because I can’t take the disrespect anymore. I have to rebuild my self esteem up because of how they talk too me.

Unfortunately, it is not just your life that seems to reflect less than positive men in the dating field. Your choice to not look is what I would have suggested, too. As you said, a lot of desperate and needy people out there sort of created this paradigm of extremely forward people. Online dating seems to have created a false sense of security because you share so much before you meet in person and it results in people treating strangers like they know them better than the do.

There is also the abundance and ease of apps that literally bring hundreds of right to your phone. It is starting to desensitize some. We forget there are actual human lives on the other side of those pictures they are “swiping” on.

Work on yourself by all means mama. Build yourself to a place where your self esteem won’t be damaged by ignorant people. You deserve it!!

Aida, this is all day … running these men off. Its becoming a job. I do not seek love on dating sites as I had bad experiences. The guy I was with wanted his cake and eat it too. That is sad.. you beat my age xs 3 if I give up I go bitter and jaded. Trying to reopen myself and let my guard down Alda because I have been at that place for years after the death of ny ex 3 years ago so I let my guard down to go back through this again. Ook.
