I know you all have heard this question 1000 times before, so I apologise. My husband and I have been together for just over 8 years and have a beautiful 4 yr old boy together. He is an incredible father! I had never questioned his fidelity until 2014, when I happened to come across some very questionable emails between him and one of his patients, (he’s a chiropractor: that’s how we met), with the ending from her on one being “sending soft kisses, warm hugs and gentle love”. I did confront him about it, and he kind of brushed it off. I believed him at the time because he’s’s a very friendly guy and can be quite naive when it comes to the opposite sex. It still remains with me to this day however. There was another incident recently when a woman (“mistakenly”) sent him a direct message (something about kisses everywhere…) via instagram. He claims to have never even met her though? I asked her about it as well, and she said she sent it to the wrong contact when she was drunk. He also watches a lot of pornography, which I have spoken to him about. He said he would only watch it when I’m at work or will be away for a while, but I see he was back at it when I stepped out to the shops yesterday afternoon. (He works from home and I freelance, so I’m very aware of our schedules) I’m so torn and confused! He is not inherently a bad guy! I just haven’t been able to trust him the same since ‘14. I’m suspicious of every female patient he has, as I believe he doesn’t understand the clear boundaries that need to be in place between a doctor and a patient. I suppose I want someone to tell me I’m being crazy about this whole thing. But if there’s something I need to be concerned about for real: I want to know for sure. Please help..
