Are my dreams trying to tell me something? I seem to communicate with higher powers in my dreams.

Dreams are always telling. There are two main categories: the first is messages coming from your psyche, psychological dreams, reflecting your own psychological processes, how your mind processes the events in your life, the connection between past/present/future, your own inner growth; the second category is messages coming from the astral, warnings, predictive dreams; they do come from your higher self, the omniscient one :); some of these are pure astral travels.

Dreams definitely tell you things. You can change the whole pattern of your life if you can correctly interpret your dreams. Please come for a reading with me and check out the meaning of your dream. Please have specific like was it in black & white or color. Were you in the dream or observing the dream. Etc.
