Can psychic energy be shut off?

Once I heard a psychic speak about children coming into their psychic powers and I began to cry uncontrollably. I never fully put the pieces together… When I was a child I’d have experiences, similar to what people call “sleep paralysis” but I was not paralyzed, where I’d wake up and see people coming to my bed talking to me. Or I’d have premonitious dreams of situations before they happened, like moving into a new room before told so. I was always afraid and decided to “shut down” whatever I was experiencing by ignoring what was going on.

At this point in my life, I question if I can in fact did shut down my psychic abilities and am no longer scared of my insight. But, I’ve always held the belief that you cannot choose what you open yourself up to in the spiritual world: there is no choosing just good interactions. A crack is a crack. If I shut myself off, for the most part, as a child is it still possible to reignite my spiritual energy?

Yes, it is possible to open yourself up again. The real answer is, it never really went away, you just closed yourself off for a bit. But it will always find a way to reinsert itself into your life. As they say you’re stuck with it. lol.
