my bf and I have Been off and on for awhile, I know I have my faults, but when I try to point out his wrongs he doesn’t want to see and turns it on me. he ultimately is a good man..and I love him,but I’m near the end of my rope. will he wise up and see that he will lose me and I won’t be coming back like I have in the past, maybe actually fight for us ? I need to know if I’m wasting my time or if I’m nearing a break though with him..I’m willing to fight for us and have been,but feels like it’s one sided..

As a counsellor in reading your post I feel I have to say – trust your feelings.

Your inner alarm bell will never lead your wrong. If you feel this is one sided – you are 99% most likely correct and therefore you answer your own question.

NO he is not likely to wise up and change.

On that note of change – no person can just change like that – it takes years of therapy for long term positive change.

I’d also like to add that, no matter what your choice, I believe the heart has a built in expiration date when it comes to relationships. It will either last your entire life or end at some point before that time comes. The only person who knows how long you will hold out for while your partner goes through these changes and overcomes some obstacles is you. :)
