The Spring Equinox marks the official beginning of the Thelemic Holy Days, a sacred time in Thelema celebrating renewal, balance, and the awakening of the soul. In Thelema, a spiritual system founded by Aleister Crowley, these holy days honor the cycles of nature, the Divine, and the journey of self-realization.

The Tarot plays a huge role in these celebrations. Each Holy Day aligns with specific cards from the Major Arcana, offering a symbolic lens to reflect on the energies of the season and the path of the soul.

This card correlates to the 32nd Path in the Tree of Life, connecting Malkuth, the Earth and matter, to Yesod, the astral or template layer through which forms take shape before entering the material world. This Path represents the ultimate crystallization of Divine Light into physical reality, acting as the final stage of manifestation. The card connects to Saturn, Saturn being the boundary that defines existence itself, representing the concept that form is what allows consciousness to experience itself.

The Spring Equinox itself is a moment of perfect balance, day and night in equal measure, reflecting the Thelemic ideal of harmony between opposites.
