The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a Mexican tradition that celebrates and honors the lives of those who have passed away. Families create altars, or ofrendas, decorated with candles, flowers, photos, fruits, and favorite foods to welcome the spirits of their loved ones back into their life for a brief visit. It is a joyful celebration of remembrance, rooted in the belief that love and life transcends death and the spirit lives on.

Today marks the beginning of the Days of the Dead, Day one, the 27th of October makes a sacred time to honor and celebrate our beloved animal companions who have crossed into the great beyond.

It is said that on this day, the Rainbow Bridge glows brighter, drawing our world and the spirit world closer together. As the veil thins, we welcome the presence of our furry loved ones with offerings of love, food, and remembrance. So make sure to leave out a special treat for those animals that you have loved in this life.
