Are You On Two Separate Pages?

One of the biggest challenges I see in relationship matters are two people who are on different pages when it comes to romantic connections. While it’s normal to have different life goals and aspirations, it’s important both of you are on the same page regarding what you want out of your connection. The below lists two common signs that you may be on a different page than your partner. You Have Been Seeing Each Other For a While, but They Still Avoid Commitment While exclusivity is a normal desire for most couples who are working to evolve their relationship, someone who isn’t ready to jump things to a new level may not be on the same page as you. These types often dodge conversations about your status, are less emotionally expressive and tend to go quiet when the subject is brought up. You’re Always Doing The Same Things Together It may also seem like you are always doing the same things together and the idea of something new is disinteresting to your partner. As normal, healthy relationships evolve, it’s normal for couples to do more things together and even consider activities like mini trips together, but when a situation is stuck, it’s likely your partner won’t show interest (or even budge). This can also happen for other reasons too, but it can be a sign the two of you want different things out of this connection. — Communication is really the key to finding out what is going on and where your relationship is heading. It’s not always easy to have a conversation about this, but when you do it in an organic way and make sure to communicate your needs, chances are you will get the answers you are looking for. If you are interested in moving the connection to a new level, share that. If you are hoping for more, be upfront about it. Holding back and waiting for the other person when they aren’t making much movement is just going to stagnate your connection and create a lot of unnecessary anxiety. |
