There is no bullet proof method towards knowing which dreams are “prophetic” (aka dreams of the future) and which are regular subconscious dreams, the only way to know the difference is through you mastering “dream recall” aka being able to fully remember your dreams in detail, the reason this is key is because if you reflect on your dreams you will start to notice the different way a regular dream plays out vs a prophetic dream. So look towards mastering dream recall (lots of sites online) and or look towards starting a dream journal (plus with a dream journal you can revisit your dreams in writing months if not years later :))

Dreams are actually visions, dear—each one has a lot of symbolism to help you to control your life, past, present, or future… but the way you can know when one is ‘encoded’ [symbolic] and when one is literal is to trust how you feel when you awaken.. the sensations can vary between a spinning in the head, feeling of euphoria or excitement, or a feeling of longing.

ones that are prophetic [yet to come] will be accompanied with an intense level of ‘deja vu’ or you will awaken with the sense you have just learned something very powerful.

[also I wanted to add in here on the edit—careful when you first awaken not to move your limbs or your body for a while because the more you move the more conscious you become and lose the dream. Recount everything and keep a journal close to the bed to keep your memories as present as you can while you document.]
