My name is alexiah im from Los Angeles CA and ever since i can remember i have had a rough childhood & at only 13 i got pregnant and now im 18 with 3 children and im currently in a relationship with the father of my kids and it is a toxic relationship. I have been thru so much as a child and im still currently am. I have ben thru abuse , being abandoned , domestic violence , drug abuse , etc and the list goes on. i suffer from depression and anxiety aswell and i dont knw the path im going down in. @Javi i know but all my life i have been told nothing but bad things. My mom was a teen mom at the age of 14 aswell and everybody would tell me i was gonna follow in her in her foot steps and not accomplish anything and everybody was right … Not once have i accomplished and achieved anything in life :( I always feel as im a dissapointment to everybody . I try leaving my relationship but its hard and i just end up stying outta fear and because when you believe in your heart that a person can change especially when that person is your first love and has been the only man you loved so i stay and i stay for my kids as well i dont want them growing up without us all together as a family :(

Your mom is my age. Believe me you are making a big mistake by staying in that abusive relationship. Children learn what they see from parents so they will imitate what you guys are doing in a future and the vicious cycle will go on. I am not telling you what to do but if you love your children you will do what is best for them.

Abusive relationships are a tricky situation to leave- especially when you feel that you cannot just end up homeless or back with the same patterns as before as well—theres a lot hes done for you but the obligation is not healthy in a relationship. I responded to you dear when you have time.

You have to realize that u deserve to be loved and respected and don’t tolerate anything less. Be strong for your kids. @Danisocha thank you it means alot to me (: My Mom went thru the same thing & i would see how miserable she was and unhappy but she still kept going back. she put up with it for 13-14 years And then she finally decided she couldnt take it no more and finally moved on but once she moved on my 3 brothers hated her for that and left her and went to go live with there dad. She hasnt seen them in over 6 years and everyday that passes it kills her and i see how much it hurts her and how she cries :( I Think Im just scared that if i do leave my kids father that my kids will do the same :(

@javi But thats the thing hes my first love & the only man i ever loved and its hard fr me to be with another man , im scared to move on. I feel so guilty but my bf has cheated on me so many times and it hurts me and i try leaving and moving on but somehow i end up believing his lies he tells me about him really changing and i end up going back :( i guess i just have hope that maybe one day he will change :(

Alexiah a person never changes. Only a really bad situation makes a person change. Once a cheater always a cheater. I have had two great loves in my 31 years on this planet. I have yet to find a lady that is worth of taking things to the next level. But I definitely know that begging for love and staying in a bad relationship is not the answer. I do not have kids so maybe I do not fully understand your situation. But trust me you are doing more hard than good to yourself and kids by staying in a relationship that has no future.

Broken, Alexiah is very young so she is afraid of changes. But this is in her best interest and her kids. An abusive parent is in no way a good example for a kid.
